Founded in January 1996, The Music Store Inc.” will be celebrating its 10^th anniversary this coming January.  In this time the store has grown from a buy, sell, and trade business; to now carrying hundreds of top manufacturer lines, rentals, repairs, and music lessons. “The Music Store Inc.” has found it’s niche as a musical convenience store, offering items such as guitar strings, tuners, drum sticks, drum heads, and drum maintenance parts, percussion instruments, reeds, mouthpieces, cables, replacement light bulbs for par cans, and disco lights, replacement speakers, karaoke disks, and equipment, and much, much more. These items are in constant need by musicians, and are a steady business for the store.  With two colleges nearby, there is also a large market of student, and amateur musicians in Boca Raton. “The Music Store Inc.” caters to this market by offering very good quality products, at reasonable prices.  For the professional, the consignment business offers used gear at bargain prices. The store makes 20% commission on all consignments, and this requires no money tied up in inventory. 

The store location consists of 2,000 square feet which rents for $2,000 per month, with another 1,200 square feet available on request.  There is a full kitchen, two bathrooms, a hot, and cold shower, a garage area that can be used for stock, and rental equipment.  Music teachers have a small private room for their lessons.  Out back there is a patio area. 

The music store staff is made up of collage students, and local musicians. The Florida Atlantic University and Lynn University are only a few miles away.  Both of these schools have first rate music programs, and offer a ready supply of qualified workers willing to work at reasonable rates. 

Last year “The Music Store, Inc.” taxes showed a gross $350,000 with a net profit of $50,000.  Tax records are available on request.  The asking price for the store is $100,000 for tangible property, and goodwill.  Inventory can be purchased on a $ to $ wholesale basis.  At present, “The Music Store Inc.” has $100,000 in inventory, and approximately the same amount in rental gear assets.  The income potential of “The Music Store Inc.” does not at this time include use of a Web-Store, or EBay.
